Description
It was the middle of the night when they came.

Lempi doesn't remember what woke her - was it the quiet flap of wings in the darkness, the pitter patter of smaller creatures or... or something else. But Lempi woke nonetheless, trying to blink the sleep from her eyes, trying to get used to the dark. At first she didn't mind the distant, bluish glow, but when it had started to dance closer and closer, Lempi felt shivers run along her back. She knew what was coming and quickly she found her feet, preparing for what was to come.

Lempi had been rusty and the night had been long. Almost too long. But Lempi was stubborn and even though she was old, there was still fight in these old bones, still life that had to be lived. It had been hard at first, but soon the memories of fights long past had flooded her mind, aiding her, guiding her, and even thought the critters had been many, they didn't have the experience that the old kuku had. And it had become easy, almost too easy, after a while.

Lempi took many deep, steadying breaths before she lifted her head and eyed the carnage in front of her. Many laid dead, but many also had ran, escaped after realizing they were not a match for the grandma after all. Lempi huffed, allowed herself a sigh of relief to still be alive, before turning towards the closest town or settlement or anything with others. She had survived this time, but she doubted that she would be so lucky a second time without help.

My first entry for the Festival of Death, I'm super excited to see what the weeks bring along!!

I don't usually draw comics but I really felt like trying this time! I also don't usually write stuff in english, but felt too inspired to not at least try something. :'>
Not sure if I'm gonna be doing this on the later weeks tho, haha...

Kinda dredding how to count the FP on this one though.. oh boy.
