Eager to tackle new experience, Seon was known to always embrace his adventurous side. It was common during his childhood for him to venture through the uncharted forest regions of Song-Lu in search of hiding spots, adding to collect of precious gems he considered treasures, or simply sight seeing. Aside from traveling to new locations, he's always open to learning new things if he finds it of interest.
Being that the young man is a half breed and came from a peaceful home, he developed an open-minded attitude towards the world that made him neutral towards both the war and those of other heritages (including dark elves who he has yet to directly encounter). Regardless of your history, he would never break his laidback composure to judge or lecture another on their views or actions since he's certain all have a valid reason for their deeds despite its severity.
With a mischievous cousin involved with him throughout the majority of his life, her bratty behavior naturally rubbed off on the young man despite his annoyance when it was directed on himself. Though depending on whether he considers one a friend, he's bound to reflect similar tricks on the unfortunate individual as his own take on showing affection.
If ever a time he came across something he wanted, he'd stop at nothing to obtain it unless its virtually impossible. His rather prosperous life growing up left him with the impression all was within his grasp the longer he pursed it whether it be prying into other's business purely for his own curiosity or reaching a particular goal.
After honing his ascetic-route an ego began to manifest from the overwhelming confidence in his growing strength. He usually entertains the thought of being able to beat anyone in a fight and flaunts his control over ether usage through destroying and creating miniature craters in the base of trees or large boulders. These cases typically lead to him displaying a more reckless side which in turns angers those around him or pull him into trouble he'd rather not find himself in. Because of this, it's difficult for him to make friends at times due to this over confidence.
History:
Born within the lush forest region of Song-Lu, Seon was raised by his parents alongside his elder brother. The family was blessed with a flourishing herbal shop within the city limits, gathering funds from various travelers and locals alike which left them living comfortable financially. Despite being a relatively neutral city, the two were trained in the art of self defense by their father, a former koben soldier, who regularly drilled into their minds regularly to expect the unexpected considering the endless feud between Miras and Koben. With peace fortunately remaining in their lives for the majority of his adolescence, Seon grew somewhat ignorant to the possible struggles the rest of the world endured. He had yet to face the true harshness of racism or direct conflict.
Throughout the years his human cousin, who was more like an elder sister, would make frequent visits to their home or their parent’s workplace with a basket of assorted fruits, vegetables, and sometimes pastries under her wing. Their aunt was rather generous with the gifts she'd send for them and figured her only daughter should be raised alongside children close to her age, especially family. A typical day with the kids would held an abundance of harmless pranks on each other; these habits evolved once the girl discovered she had a knack for illusionary magic in adulthood. Rocks around the home became gold coins, greens the image of small cakes (which Seon loved dearly), and paths he assumed were commonly traveled instead lead him sinking into lake water.
Having grown accustomed to these deceptive tactics, Seon's exposure to them sparked his desire to learn illusionary magic from the girl. She agreed to it naturally, and spent weeks lecturing him on the methods she used to conjure up these false images after his weekly martial arts lessons at home. The two started with smaller objects ranging from food or even pebbles. Time and time again failure found its way into every lesson, however, and Seon finally had the impression he wasn’t meant to gain such a great ability. His once determination then transitioned into pure frustration, which lead to one day of practice where he attempted to manipulate an apple's appearance within his grasp...that resulted in the boy crushing it effortlessly on accident. Rather than illusions, the teen could channel his energy differently by redirecting ether into specific parts of his body to harden his hits.
Before long his parents took recognition in his ascetic capabilities and gave suggestion of furthering his training at a martial arts academy. With a plentiful selection of schools to choose from in Song-Lu, Seon chose one closest to their residence to attend for a couple of years. It didn't take long for him to become one of the better fighters among his classmates and eventually he graduated at the top of the class. The young man's ego had risen through the roof since then to the point he'd commonly flaunt his achievements to both friends, family, and even strangers if the opportunity had arose.
With Seon's clear undying interest in martial arts, his parents decided he should further his training alongside his elven cousin in Estraude knowing she too followed the same style of fighting yet studied the Estran way. Left without much a say in the matter, he didn't particularly mind settling in Estraude for a little while. Only on occasion would he have the chance to bond with those of his elven heritage and took pleasure in the thought of learning more about both their lifestyle and style of ascetics.
But when word hit of the attack on Song-Lu, Seon feared for his family's safety. It had been a little over a year since his departure from home, only to now leave him in a debate over whether or not to take a risk returning home without the proper travel funds. In the midst of those irrational thoughts, however, his elven cousin did her best to ease his assumption of death reaching his family's doorstep and instead swayed him into remaining with her folks until there was further news of the situation.
Fortunately Sion's family sent letters not long after to assure they were fine though their shop had taken some heavy damage during the brief attack; the only other con being the cost repairs left his stressed and unhappy mother ill. Confident he was now able to breathe easily, after Estraude announced neutrality Seon proceeded with getting a permit to stay in the country for as long as he needed. Even though things had ran favorably with his family long, he slowly began to question himself about his purpose in life; if there was a way he could make it better for both himself and those he cared for.
