Description Yes guys, it's another 2010 remix of my costume plates. This time they're some I did for a uni project using Oscar Wilde's 'The Importance of Being Earnest', which is one of my favourite plays.

From left to right: Miss Prism, Lady Bracknell, Dr Chasuble, Algernon, Cecily, Gwendolen and Jack.

The original plates were drawn on handmade paper with pressed flower petals in, so you can see a few of them in the designs.

For more info and a few more designs please visit here.

The border uses part of a frame brush from the brilliant =MouritsaDA-Stock and the background is from a set by ~Zebii .

EDIT: I suddenly realised I had somehow managed to delete the colour editing layers that fixed the mess my scanner made of the colours. So I've redone them so everythings pretty again.

This is super! Beautiful work!
I'm playing Jack in a community theater production of The Importance of Being Earnest in a couple of weeks!

Change of character! Lady Bracknell dropped out of the play (two weeks before the show D:< ) now I'm playing Bracknell. .... Just felt like sharing.

Wow that is bad form dropping out so soon before the show! But at least you get a great part out of it, all together now: "A HAAAAANDBAG???!!!"

Yeah, she's a puts, but Bracknell is such a fun character. "I myself am not in favor of long engagements, they give a person time to learn each other's characters before marriage, which I find is never advisable."

These are GREAT! The Importance of Being Earnest is one of my top 10 favorite plays of all time. What a brilliant idea to use pressed flowers in the design! Major points for prettiness and creativity! Cecily's rose blouse is my favorite.

We both gave Algernon black hair and a curly moustache!

Handmade paper? Spectacular.

We both had a similar approach to Cecily, giving her those pink flowers.

Yes, though it is the last time I use handmade paper - took absolutely AGES to make and bleeds so bad when you use markers. I had to colour on top of blotting paper to try and stop it!

ouch. Well, it would make beautiful envelope paper.

That's true, it was pretty fun to make too, just took a long time. Sadly I don't have the sieve thing I used to make it anymore, because I borrowed it off my old college, and then I had to give it back. Lol.

I think some of his lesser known works are by far better than some of the most popular!
