HELL YEAH! ReThornal COMING IN HOT WITH ANOTHER AWESOME COMMISSION FOR ME! THANKS AGAIN, GURL! YOU'RE THE BEST!
The Royal Den fell silent. All eyes and ears now focused on the altercation between the cubs. Everyone knew Kopa to be a soft-spoken and kind-hearted male who was slow to anger. Thus, for him to raise his voice in legitimate outrage was a sight to behold. The female cubs themselves were rightfully shocked and confused by his outburst until Kiara frowned and stared hard at her brother. “Why do you keep saying that when it’s not true? They’re not like us, Kopa. They stopped being like us when their mother attacked you! Or did you forget!?”
Kopa winced. “Kiara—”
“Why’re you trying to defend them?! The enemy!”
“I’m just trying to understand why you just didn’t let them go and get lavender! You could’ve gone with them! Talked to them! Anything!”
“Maybe I would’ve if they had just followed the rules and stood before Daddy! But they didn’t!”
“Maybe because they were scared, Kiara! They probably felt like they didn’t have a choice!”
“Oh, they had a choice! They just chose violence! And we beat them up for the choice that THEY made!”
“But they aren’t a threat!”
“But when they get older, they will be!” The young princess’ glare towards her brother turned molten. “And when we get older, we’ll be a threat to them! Especially me!”
Kopa immediately cowed at that particular proclamation. He understood Kiara’s need to get stronger so that she could protect everyone, but… That look in her russet brown eyes troubled him. They were too hard. Too unyielding. Too…dangerous.
Waving her hands about, Makini called for peace. “Okay, okay. Not to disrupt the argument between conflicting ideologies, but I really should examine you now, Prince Kopa.”
