yep i still ship these two

here's a quick drawing i did on the plane flight home. i originally had Jasiri painted as a striped hyena, just because i'm not a big fan of The Lion Guard's spotted hyena designs. but those colors clashed too much with Kion's so i ditched it and opted back to her actual colors. not too happy with how Jasiri came out overall, i struggle a bit with dog-like animals, but thought it'd be nice to post something anyway. some notes!

- Jasiri is older than Kion. not by much, maybe a year or two.
- they're both young adults here, evident by Kion's growing mane. in human years they'd be in their late teens or early twenties.
- nose taps are, in a way, the lion equivalent of kissing.
- Simba has always associated hyenas with bad news, so he's not thrilled when he finds out his own son is involved with one romantically. he learns to love her though.
- out of all three of Simba's and Nala's children, Kion has the most striking resemblance to Simba. in my headcanon, Kion is their adopted son, and this resemblance is purely coincidence.
- even though Kion and Kiara had a tense relationship when they were younger, she is the first one to publicly support his relationship with Jasiri.
- Jasiri was taller than him when they were kids, but those lion genes really hit Kion when he got older, and he gets to be pretty huge. still not as big as big bro Kopa, and definitely nowhere near Mufasa, but he's up there.
