a full view of my interpretation of anna in her funeral dress.it took me several weeks to embroider her skirt, cape, blouse and bodice. i have never embroidered anything before, but i think she turned out okay. her dress is made of velvet, satin and jersey. i have never worked this long on a doll before but she was worth it. it felt good to transport all my emotions into something creative.
a couple of weeks ago, someone in family who was very dear and important to me, passed away ... i had a really hard time accepting that he was gone and that i would never be able to talk to him again. i didn't know what to do with myself until i decided i would edit the most beautiful picture i had of him and frame it to place it on a especially designed shelf in my room. this is where anna is placed now and i feel a little as if she is watching out for him now wherever he will be.
i do not own frozen or anna, they are owned by disney.

that doll really helped me processing a lot of my emotions! i spent so much time on her embroidering that i felt as if it gave me the quiet i needed to realize what had happened and how i am going to live on afterwards ...
