Color - `vest
*JNetRocks has launched a full-scale assault on my club, commencing an unrelenting onslaught of her own work. The #color-me-club now has her images slathered all over it; in our features, in our journal, and heck, she's all over the new 'Collections' collection we're collectin'. So to tame the beast, and lull *JNetRocks into slumber as to not win every heart and mind that trips upon the club, I submit this as a proclamation of 'Very well done, love the work, you are free to take that break should you need it.'
As for these lines?
Daunting. Absolutely daunting. Not so much the level of detail, but just how far outside of my comfort zone this image took me. I found myself wanting to try something new here, something new there, and then bellowed to Valhalla for strength to make everything a "try something new" venture. Whole new drawing formula. Whole new brushes used. Whole new tex....err...okay, still using the same texture sources. BUT THEY WERE PUT ON THINGS THAT WERE BRUSHED IN NEW FASHION SO THAT MAKES THEM NEW, TOO!
In fact, the only thing that wasn't new was my choice of music while wrapping this one up. Tweekend, by The Crystal Method. If you guys haven't heard that album before and worked with it, goodness, you wouldn't KNOW how you could ever be industrious without it afterward.

As I look over the astounding amount of detail, in both the line art and the color, I think to myself two things:
Who is this character and why is this not critiqued yet?
Let me just say my Photoshop skills are nowhere near as good as this, the reflections on the skin, the intense lighting as the body parts are closer to the light source; it boggles the mind as to how long and how anyone could do something so, so...AWESOME.
Few things I want to say though, the color of the skin on her shoulders, midsection, and legs all look different. I like the placement of core shadow on her right side, am confused on the light source for her legs, but like the color of the reflective light on her right midsection (because of the white gauntlets).
Overall though, it's these pieces that do inspire, and give me that boost when I'm drawing. I love this piece, and encourage others to share their thoughts!

I agree with trying something new, it is always a good idea to get out of your comfort zone.
I'd love to comment more on this but right now I've been feeling a bit drained and don't have the energy to put a constructive critique together. ; but for what its worth, I really like how this turned out.
And, in the light of getting out of the comfort zone y'know what I wanna see you colour next. A man. Preferably a big, muscley, superhero type man. It's not that I want something to lust over (hahah, even if I liked that type of thing I can just google it), no, I just wanna see you do some subject matter you've never done before (or that i've never seen you do before at any rate) and that's one thing I've never spotted in your gallery.
After that you should do a boat. I mean, a big military ship. Or maybe something else thats a bit different. A parachuter. A guy in a space suit. Something other than an attractive female with nice knockers. Now I come to think of it this is the main problem I have with your gallery and why I sometimes get bored with it. Not enough variety. Knockers are good, it's true, but you can have too much of a good thing.

Perty nifty Vest! It does look different then your normal style. Almost like a water color wash in some points, It looks very soft but well defined. And no tell tale streak on water color paper 
You have more of a realism streak in this compared to other pieces you've done. Which were full color blow out fit for comics, this I could see in a breezy art book, and a telling pinkish tone you use is missing here. I like it, new stuff is always difficult to get going but I bet you had the excited jitter as you finished. The proud papa/mama syndrome is what I call it.
I am now inspired to go work on the falling pic from the set released by JnetRocks , its all your fault!

I had just finished blocking in this image and was about half-way through shading the skin tones when the 'Falling' image was submitted to the club. As you could imagine, my head hit the desk, just wishing I had put this off for one day and to give that other one a try, lol.

Also, please do continue sending your work over to the club. It isn't spamming at all, we love and adore it dearly! I'm simply noting that you've conquered every facet of the club's various galleries, but rightfully so.
And I decided to put that extra little bit of love and labor into it as a way of saying thank you for all your awesome submissions; we'd love to see them coming in at whatever rate is comfortable for you!
