Description
It's my character Meali back when she was still a little filly, lost in some random forest (Deep Forest?), when suddenly she runs into those whispy glow creatures just as the sun breaks through the clouds, and things stop being quite so scary.I tried to do something with colors here, different kind of coloring kinda. And lighting, but mostly colors. I like how the background turned out, I had fun making it.

The lighting is freaking amazing. Aren't you glad you tried something different? Because it looks so awesome. I love the glowing greens and how it bounces off Meali's coat. And the flowers in the corner add a lovely touch to the forest. Meali is so friggin cute.

Really nice use of lighting here, Gaeva! In a way this makes the fores take on a character of its own. I also like the details you have added to the ground in the background, the little hints of texture and moss on the rocks. What I like is that you haven't gone overboard with the detail - that stuff is further away and if you had detailed the ground further it would make Meali look too unspecific by comparison.
While Meali of course stands out nicely, being blue against the green background, I think you could maybe have made the little glowy-things stand out a little more. There is plenty of light in the background and their light gets drowned a little in that. The main point of interest of this image is Meali meeting with the glow creatures right - upping their brightness a little would help to guide the eye to that spot easier.
Anyway, very good color work in this image!

The glowy creatures' visibility is something I hesitated on actually, while drawing they were actually a dark strong pink color. I didn't like how they stood out though, and wanted them to be "part of the forest" more, hence the color change. But yes, they shouldn't blend that well either. Upping their brightness may help here. There are a few other things that seriously bother me about this image that I will be updating, so I'll add that one to the list, thanks ^_^
