Felicia from DarkstalkersMy first real fan art!
First I came up with Cassandra , who looks a lot like Felicia, but then I felt like doing a proper fan art.
Then I found this image by ~Hazneliel . I asked him for the fur patterns and he was nice enough to give me the masks (thanks!!), I applied it to a different texture, gave it a fur displacement map, a good shader, and here's my version!
I know she's not 100% like the real Felicia, but it's good enough for me

How did you get it to apply to only the one "fury" part of the gloves/boots? I've got similar fur mats but can't figure out how to limit the bump and displacement to only the "fur" parts instead of the whole thing.

Damn, I was going to offer you my .mat files for the fur. Although I don't know how to do it in DS, you do it by applying a "mask", which is a grayscale image with white where you want fur to show up and black where you don't. Let me see if I can figure out how to do it in DS while you give it a try. Do you use msn or yahoo messenger?

You're welcome. I've tryed in DAZ to make a fur like this, but isn't coming out so well.

It's quite easy actually, search for "fur texture" in google or whatever3d.com and use that as a bump or displacement map. Doesn't look too good in closeups though, for that I'd use shaders but I use Poser so I couldn't help you any further.
