As the title says, this is a sketch of my avatar.I have several different characters to represent myself, depending on how much of myself I put into each drawing.
* Victor Sikorsky (arctic fox) is the most independent and "un-me-like" of these characters, with an entire life of his own.
* Then I may draw some fox, red or white, with some attributes of my real life self (usually with glasses, since that's what I currently wear), and simply decide that this is a furry-ized me.
* Finally there's Victorfox, which is my alias in various online forums, and who is sort of a mix between Victor Sikorsky and furry-André.
Neither of the characters really have a visually fixed look. It can be sort of confusing when you stop to think, so my advise is: don't! Just accept the fact that I put more or less of my real self into the characters I draw -- sometimes enough for me to call it a self-portrait; sometimes not.

what a great sketch! I can see why you uploaded it, it has such great personality and style. I know what you mean with the characters too,most of my characters have some trace of me in them, it helps to relate to them.

looks like he´s not amused, or maybe he´s watching this movie ¨Dancing in the Dark ¨ wich is god awful and makes me hate bjork so much......but sure the pic is good

No, it's not that, because I haven't seen Dancer In The Dark.
Actually, I first drew this sketch with an evil grin, but I realized that it was hard to get it to look good as seen right from the front, so I changed it to this expression instead. This looks more cool, anyway.
Also, I was feeling a bit peeved at the time, so the drawing likely reflects that as well.

I really like this. The cartoonish, sketchy style you've done it in looks great, especially with how you've done the expression. The whole thing is really nicely drawn.
Interesting sounding character, too. I also have a few different characters to represent myself, but all have a "set" sort of look to them.

Well, I'd say this particular drawing is more of a self-portrait than anything else, because a friend of mine said it actually looks like my real life self.
I use "Vic(tor) Sikorsky", "Victorfox" and "André" pretty much interchangeably, and which one of those I decide that a particular drawing is of, depends mostly on how much I think it looks like my real life self.
Yeah, I guess these characters all *do* represent me, more or less, despite sometimes having a background of their own. That's as much a rule as an exception in furry fandom roleplaying circles, however, so I'm by no means unique.

Ahh, yeah, I see what you mean. I used to base my self character of how I actually looked in real life, but I've since changed it, so it has a sort of permanant look now, which I can't see changing for a good while.
So with the different characters of yours, they do all basically look the same, with their identities depending on how similar they look to you in real life?
With all the characters I have representing myself, they all have a background, apart from my "main" one. In some ways, a background for that one wouldn't seem appropriate, as it is more of a direct representation of my self than any of the others are... if you know what I mean
But as I said, really interesting ideas for the characters you have, here.

Thanks, yeah, I don't upload many sketches (at least not so far), but some of them have a certain...I don't know what...that seems to make it worth the while.
