Description
Maglor, Maedhros, Elrond and Elros upon the coast of Beleriand, when far away, the great fleet of the Teleri, bringing the armies of Valinor, arrives at last. Elrond and Elros are 13 years old here. Leather armour and deerskins, and clothes that don't quite fit because they are living in the woods more or less in hiding.

This must have been a very difficult moment for Maedhros and Maglor, because suddenly the attacks on Doriath and the Havens, which had previously seemed despairing and unsuccessful, became strategically disastrous, as it guarantees the huge new army of Noldor and Vanyar that has just arrived is unlikely to accept them as allies.
