Mauve is the best, even when she is having a Daenerys moment ! I like the way her expression seems to be poised between two moods, as if it were on the verge of changing but still undecided -- always something tricky to capture, but very nicely done here. If I may venture a comment, though, I think the position of her hands (left one especially) is a bit hard to read : is she pleading ? protective ? or is it just me ? Otherwise, great job on silhouette and anatomy (hair and upper arms in particular). Oh, and the organic translucency of that dragon's wing is absolutely spot on.

I think that's my subconscious saying "If that thing falls it'll shatter. Shit, it's slipping!".
The Egg and dragon are nods to a game in which I played as Mauve. She craved for the Egg, she threw everything aside for it's power. Deep down she knew that even in the unlikely event of managing to take it, the utopia she'd build would be a nightmare for the rest. Everything wouldn't be alright, not even in her dreams it plays out alright.

Thank you for this little (tantalising) glimpse into Mauve's story. Tales of doomed obsession may not end well, but they provide fascinating material indeed.
