Something about this one doesn't quite strike as strongly as the other pieces I've seen. (But, then again, as I've mentioned I'm no art expert, so you can ignore this rambling if you wish.)
For some reason, I think Mara's hair doesn't quite come across with the same volume as I'm used to seeing in the source piece. It almost seems to make her face seem more rectangular than rounded and doesn't portray Mara as the same person as your other version.
I'm sorry I critiqued and didn't compliment. Something just feels off here, but again your work overall is still fantastic.

No problem, critique is why we place our work here in the first place, honest critique only serves to make our work turn out better in the future. To be honest with you, this was a commission, and after it was completed, I thought it looked like Wynonna Judd with a Light Saber instead of a guitar. LOL.

So glad you don't mind my critique. I kind of giggled at your own comments regarding how you thought Mara looked kind of like Wyonna Judd in your piece.
I saw that you added me to your "Watch" list. Thanks for that, too! Again, not sure when I'll be putting out more of "Knight of Honor" here, but I do try to "create" the characters from that story using Photoshop and then I post the final images of them here. I'm trying to slowly get all the characters created so that I can do a "movie poster" style piece. It's something that I've been slowly working on with each character I develop visually. The hardest part is finding pictures I can "marry" up so that they look natural and not choppy.
Anyway, my writer is emerging again as I write another lengthy reply so I shall bore you no more.
