Description Must stop doing Once Upon A Time fanart... I admit at this point I’m obsessed.

Can you blame me? If you’d told me a few years ago that one of my favourite actors would be playing a freaky goblin-like imp dressed in a J-rock get up I’d have kicked you in the face with a six inch heeled New Rock boot and told you not to mock my dreams. Ah, but it turns out dreams do come true! Ha...

So here is a messy little sketch in honour of the AMAZING BLUE SHIRT!!! The collar is actually part of the leather not the shirt but hey, I don't care. BLUE!!!

I happened to be listening to Schwarz Stein as I did this, which is perhaps the most insanely appropriate band for the subject matter.

I'm sad that they don't make him wear blue more often. But then again, you don't see any of the good guys wearing blue either, so it's good to know that they're not going for the over done "blue is good, red is evil" dynamic. It's been done to death ever since Aladdin came out 20 years ago, and that movie was referenced with Sidney's character in the most recent episode, 'Fruit of the Poison Tree'.

Yeah, he looks awesome in blue, and I love it when people don't lump blue in with "intelligence" "beauty" or "femininity" like it often does get associated with.
Since peacock blue is "the devil's colour", there's no reason a truly evil character shouldn't have a blue outfit.

When it comes to intelligence, it's the mind that matters, not colors. The same thing with beauty, although I do usually associate pink with femininity. At least, that's my take on the concepts you mentioned. Peacock blue is one of my favorite shades of the color, even though I'm more likely to gravitate towards greens, blues, and purples blended together to create that same effect.
Come to think of it, Rothbart from the Swan Princess wears blue during his "No Mr. Nice Guy" number, and he's the villain of the whole thing.

Oh, I know, I just think that blue at some point got associated with intelligence, the same as green with envy, yellow with cowardice and so on and so forth. I'm not saying people who like blue are smarter, ha!
Scientifically speaking, blue has proven to have a calming effect on the mind (brain chemistry is weird)but I don't think anyone could ever prove that the colours you PREFER has any indication of personality or intelligence etc. (conditioning aside).

Now and again, because Lucifer is associated with peacock blue, people pick up on that and stick the colour on evil characters, but I think generally Luciferians are the only ones who let that opinion actually govern their lives, and most people don't actually associate Lucifer as "the Peacock Angel" anyway.

When I hear the word "blue", I usually think of water, which has a very calming effect on me. Also, I usually associate brown with cowardice, and no; it is not because of the "brown trousers" joke. Green is a color I usually associate with nature, and money, aka the root of all evil/envy, albeit in a lighter shade with more yellow in it that blue. I associate red with jealousy as it can be a prelude to anger, which I also associate with red.

I'm glad you don't associate colours with what they are traditionally associated with: It's more interesting that way.

Just like people say red is supposed to mean anger, I actually find it makes me happy. I have a degree of synaesthesia though so it's best for me not to go into detail with that haha.

LOL, I know, Aladdin is hardly the pioneer of the red=evil argument (or for any argument at all). I think the fact that blood is red is probably a factor. Blood = danger and death. It's just hard-wired into the human brain.

This is from Episode 5 where we see into Jiminy Cricket's past. I remember saying, "Hi Rump!" when Jiminy went to see him for a means of escape from his uncaring parents. "Hi Rump! You look even better here than you did in the episode!"

It kinda strikes me as being that type of iridescent where you can't quite figure out what color it is...IMO, it kinda was maroon to me...
