Strange how the trees are monochrome, while the rocks are full of subtle colors! The dead trees make this sad, but the beautiful rocks with all their lichen imply that beauty isn't gone yet.

This is one of my very top favorites here on DA. It's a scene reminiscent of the mountains we have here with the boulder field, the spruce and the rolling hills, except we don't have the the bright green lichens. Wonderful capture!! Love the color of the light.

To be honest I could not tell if this is a painting or a photograph, but I can say that it is beautiful and almost surrealistic, very much like a fantasy world. Good job.
