very realistic image, and you inspired me to start creating macros in Vue, becouse before I saw your images I didn't realised about using Vue in that way

this really caught my eye! very pretty stuff, i agree with what some say about vue, the images just have a certain grainy flat look a lot of the time which i dislike but this is excellent, and actually quite muted, scaqle-wise, which makes a nice change from people trying to fit everything and the kitchen sink into their vue render
(although i do this sometimes, much to my dismay)

I just bought Vue Studio 9 and am looking forward to messing with it. Does the plant library come with daisies? They play an important role for one of my characters.

Fortunately I did discover it is possible to build your own plants, so I'll just have to work a little harder and make one.

May I ask how the flowers were created? Are they premade or did Vue generate them? They loo marvelous either way and I only ask because I'm very curious about Vue. I've been eye-balling it for a while now.

I've been thinking about buying the full version of Vue (the only reason I haven't yet is because it is obscenely expensive) to incorporate it into my workflow. I think it would be a great way to make my own references. It would also be good for matte painting and making backgrounds for characters. For example, if this were my render, I could totally imaging fairies hanging out amongst the flowers. :3

Yeah, Vue is great for mattes! I used it at my previous job almost everyday for 3 years! You can buy Infinite version, it's $500 cheaper than xStreme.

Vue comes with a huge library of it's own including tree, plants, grasses, flowers etc.
Render time I don't remember exactly but maybe 20 mins! Not sure though!

because it often has this plastic cheap 3d look, not because its not capable creating nice images. But in my oppinion tooo many vue beginners post the same bad landscapes with plastic shaders and bad lighting so is made up this predjudice.
but like in every other programm not the application matters but the artists work !

You're correct, I hate seeing those images too, but as you said, it's not Vue's fault when somebody uses it to produce cheap looking 3d images! Vue is capable of producing stunning artworks in quick time, when used properly! It's a very powerful software when in capable hands!
