Oops, I'm sorry, I typoed... I mean I weathered it, meaning I smudged it a little. You can't see it in the very sunshiny photos, though, I apologise.

I made a base from posterboard and duct tape, details from modeling paste, and covered the whole thing with papier mache and gesso, then painted and feathered. I put chiffon fabric in the nostrils so I can see through them but they look black. There's some wire and cardboard inside the helmet to help keep the shape, and I put some insulation foam in it so that it would fit my head well and comfortably.
