Been working on this one for a while haha.Yay my first complete painting in like......ever I think. At least in my newly revised gallery.
I took a break from ponies to paint some portal fan art. Yep. This is a major portal 2 spoiler so I will just keep it vague as to what is being depicted. If you have played the game hopefully you know what it is....if not...uh enjoy the colors?
I really focused on color scheme with this piece, and creating a sense of depth with the background and elements of the piece. I think I succeeded there. I don't like her hands that much (Still a weakness of mine I must admit). I feel like in some places I am really getting how to shade and create 3D elements, and other places it is a little flat. Still gotta work on that. I also feel my style is a little messy in places, and I would like to tighten that up a bit.
All and All I am really happy with this. I took it so far from my original sketch and really improved it, and I can really feel myself learning. And that's what this is all about.

What a pity the same could not have been said about them! Frankly, considering what they did to her, I don't think anyone can blame GLaDOS that her first action was to flood the Enrichment Centre with deadly neurotoxin!

Right! I don't blame her at all. I am a firm believer they forced her into the role and her last memory was of anger...hence when she woke up she was angry. Thanks for the comment!

Why everyone can draw GLaDOS so well? Whenever I try to draw her and working hard I still can't draw her. T-T
But anyways I love the colours, the composition, the idea, everything, you did a very very good job on this artwork!

Aww Thank you! I actually did a lot of studies of her prior to this piece. She is quite simple to draw if you break her down into 3 separate parts - that mess of wires, the hull part and then the head. If you view those as 3 separate pieces it is quite easy to put in her in any sort of position or perspective. So like anything, it just takes lots of practice

Thank you so much! I really focused on colors on this. I really wanted to just stick to somber blue with a little orange to make it the perfect portal pair XD
