This is my first attempt at ink painting.... it involved a lot of experimenting XDI like the way Harry and Hermione turned out, but Ron just looks demented =/ (sorry Ron!)
3-4 hours, thick paper, ink (I used the fountain pen kind), brushes, tissue, towel, Photoshop for editing + watercolor textures (I ran out of space when painting, so added the rest in on Photoshop). It was too big to scan, so I took a photo.. so it looks really weird. The original is much better
EDIT: OMG I just realized.. today is May 2nd! The day that Harry Potter defeated Tom Riddle at the Battle of Hogwarts!

most impressive. you should try drawing some spellcasting, i'm sure you'd do well. you should definetely draw a depiction of the duel between dumbledore and he-who-must-not-be-named in the department of mysteries.
