Happy Halloween, ~jacij !
I love the Halloween themed exchanges at . Any excuse for jack o'lanterns and bats. And full moons. I have no real idea why this painting turned out circular.
Here is my depiction of ~jacij 's wonderful kelpie, Desrae. Hope you like it and enjoy Halloween, everyone.

My thought process while looking at this went something like this: "Mane on the hooves? Wait, those look like tentacles. Are those fish fins? WHAT IS GOING ON."

The perfect thought process while trying to describe a mythical creature. Most of my thought processes on that front do degenerate into "W.T.F."

Why thankyou very much! Watercolours are my favourite: the palette I'm using at the moment I've had since school and I'm really amazed they've lasted this long.

Thankyou! Yes, the kelpie is a supernatural creature from British folklore: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelpie . I haven't drawn horses much since I was small, so it was fun to do one with a twist.
