I'm the same way in regards to something has to be very sad, and the GinRan story is definitely that =/

Yeah. I love the Romeo and Juliet feeling that Kubo gave to Gin and Rangiku. Even if there were short scenes of GinRan, they were VERY powerful and emotional. I could feel Rangiku and Gin's pain, it's so sad.

Hm, while it's tragic, to me it's not the same type of tragic as Romeo and Juliet; R&J had the whole family feud thing while no one prevented Gin and Rangiku from being together. It was just Gin went along with Aizen and was thought evil.

The reason I don't see it is it was Gin's /choice/ and his alone to follow Aizen for revenge. Had he not, they could have been together.

Thanks! I was thinking about redoing this because it's my fave and I found a new way to shade, but I looked and I actually like it the way it is.
I am going to redo 412 though - there's a lot I can do to make that better.

I love the coupling, but really- I think it's right for him to have died. I feel the closure. ^^ That scene was just TOO beautiful for kubo to ruin it by making him live. >/

Most fans disagree - strongly - about him dying in that scene. His last words were about ICHIGO for goodness sake...
416 I can see. But after him opening his eyes in 417? Hell no.

His last THOUGHTS were about letting Ichigo take over for him, since he failed. I Really loved that scene. :3

Yeah, and he never spoke to Rangiku either. Everything in 416? THOUGHTS.

Yeah, because he probably COULDN'T speak. >.> imagine being stabbed and having your arm ripped off. He was probably feeling so much pain that he could barely get those thoughts out, much less move his lips to speak. >.> It's a realistic death.

All I'm saying is how can there be closure if Rangiku doesn't even know why?
The issue I brought up was never about a realistic death - it was about how there was nothing about that scene that gave closure, and how 417 switching to thinking about Ichigo made it even worse.

I, for one, refuse to believe so until further proof or a statement by Kubo. -nods-

i cried 5 bajillion times in this chapter. whether you believe Gin and Ran are just friends or lovers, this chapter really capitalized on how close their bond was.
great coloring any everything, btw. Ran's eyes are so blue and vibrant so you can really see the pain and sadness in them
