Ink practice!
I found =Sissilisko 's Calligraphy pen and my old ink bottles and so I had this strange feeling of drawing Ammy. Yay!
My fingers are all black and white now xD Oh and I watched Sissi's playing in minegraft while drawing so Ammy may look a littel sketchy xDEdit: Oh thank so much for all of you! I enjoyed reading the critique I have had and its verry helpful
Now I know I should alert myself before drawing her head to look like balloon and maybe darken BG abit. THANKS <3 and thanks for comments and faves anyways

I already loved this when I saw it was Okami! When I saw how Beautifullly done this is, I fell Head over Heels! The artistry, the background, and All of the minor touches stay Very true to the original! And yet, you've managed to make them your own! Because of that, your Originality and Technique get 5 Stars! You recreated the Oriental look and Feeling! In my opinion, the Feel of a piece of art is just as important - if not, moreso - than the look! That's why Impact gets 5 Stars.
The skyline is beautiful, the background is magnificent, the center (Okami) is clear. Overall this is a Beautiful piece of art!

Okay... I've never made a critique before. But thie piece of art really inspired me to do so~
First the background. Usually Okami (or Ookami) fanart have bright background colors, but the way you used those browns was just awesome. Those curly clouds and the falling stars.
Then we have Ammy's anatomy. It's a hard pose and the only thing I think it's a little out is her back leg, maybe it's just me, though.
The snow mixed with grass added a great effect, too~ I remember from the game that if you let her lay down for a long time grass started to grow around her.
Oh, and I loved the ink coming out of her tail, it looks like she have just painted that flower with blossom power~ And the flame of her reflector, it looks like it's dancing~
Last thing is the shading. It's soft and acts like a complement for the drawing, it gives the work a peaceful look.
Great drawing, very oriental looking.

First of let me say in my personal opinion how stunning this is. it really captures why Okami was so popular when it was released, I am a huge Okami fan because of the art style the creator used for it in the video game it was simply stunning! are you sure you did no help with some of the Illustration's ha ha ha. But seriously, Your vision of this piece is simply superb! i can see you know what you are doing when you are using your inks. Top marks for Originality becuase i have seen many ammy art but nothing to this extent and i commend your creativity. Your technique is very oriental with your inks its brilliant and becuase of the style you have chosen its impact has got an outstanding outcome. i hope you continue more okami art with inks it is surely something DA needs.

This is my first critique, so here goes! I must say, this is truly a beautiful piece. We've all seen how the Okami watercolor style works, but I believe this added a lovely new twist to that look. First off, the detail added to Amaterasu is truly astounding and the anatomy is done very nicely considering the position she's in, although I will admit the back leg closest to the viewer is a tad wonky, but no harm no foul. And I must say, Ammy's expression is priceless. XD
Next off is the background and foreground. I like how you placed Ammy off to the side, so that she isn't the direct center point, but the flower is. That was the first thing my eye went to and I love how it pops out amongst Ammy's white fur and the sepia ground. It's good to have the smaller things pop out and be the center of attention! Also to add, I like the blending of the color of the foreground grass around Ammy as it slowly turns to sepia and blends with the background. It creates a very smooth transition that isn't distracting.
All in all, this is a wonderful piece. Keep up the great work!

I instantly knew who this well famed wolf was. A good indication that you know what Ammy consists of-that inky tail, coiled tuffs of fur along her shoulders and paws, and of course those bright red markings. (if I forget to mention later-that lazy look as well)
Choice of inks is pleasing, calm, and puts the viewer at ease (which is a great companion to Amaterasu's content expression!) The lone flower between her paws brings about a symbiotic relationship in my eyes. Both the flower and Ammy seem at peace with each other. Composition, with the subject along the right and boiling clouds to the left, gives good balance overall. (Though a little more in the far background may bring out "distance" a little better-perhaps mountains or faint fields)
Amount of lines is nice and simple-not to crowded with too much fur detail (compliments nicely with the clean, wispy strokes), but not too simple. Anatomy may use a little work, particularly with her forehead (a little big), and her back-end. Perhaps making this area larger to better accompany her head. Bring out her back paws a little more, or show bits through the grass. If you wish the foot to lay under her body, fluff out her belly fuzz in chunked pieces over the foot here and there; it will give a better impression of both a furry body and defines where her foot is a little more clearly.
Overall, great artwork. You were able to choose a nice pose and give good attention to the subject. The sepia here is nice and warm (if you used black, the picture may have turned out more dark and gloomy). Clean lines, easy to indicate where and what's going on between Ammy and her little flower.
I hope this is understandable! ^^' I'm not very talented with writing well worded critiques.

To start out my critique I want to say the parts I think are great in this piece.
Okay so first of all, the colour and inking are both very neat, detailed, and all out fantastic. I absolutely love the use of white, and just the way everything blends together is very nice.

Okay, so I'm not much of a expert on canine anatomy having never gotten into drawing them myself, but I'm pretty sure the body of a dog with a head that big should be more in proportion with the head. And the leg looks somewhat squished in to fit in the drawing.
Also, you could wok on your composition. My eye is automatically drawn to one part of the drawing (where the dog is) , and the rest looks somewhat...plain and nothing really stands out. Great composition is a hard thing to pull off, but you seem to have a lot of skill judging from this piece, so I'm sure you can pull it off with a little practice/extra time taken.

Yeah I have had so many critiques about ammys anatomy (big head, weird backlegs and all) that I belive all what you say. Mayve I can handel Calligraphy pen better next time!

I love the ink slipping iff of ammy's tail and how it seems as if she is protecting and nuturing the flower. Very goos style and technique. The way she almost seems to glow is beautiful. The shooting stars are a nice touch and the only thing i would actually fix is the coloringn of Amaterasu's tail. Her tail is tipped with black ink, not brown.

This is very well done. Not too many pictures these days catch my attention enough for me to actually click out of my dA inbox and see the full-sized deviation.
I really love the sepia thing, it gives it a nice antique sort of feel which is perfect for Ammy because of her Japanese origins. Also, I believe that ink was a lovely idea, again because of the origins of Ammy and Okami itself.
I laughed to myself when I saw her facial expression, it's perfect because she's always yawning at Issun. I also really enjoy the light greens you have around her, and the way you colored the divine instrument on her back.
The thing I have the most problem with is her forelegs. They seem to be too skinny or something... I can't exactly put my finger on it, but her head and chest are too big, or her paws/forearms are too small. Other than that, her anatomy is well done. The muzzle and eyes look good, and from what I can see of the haunches that look alright as well.
Overall, this is well done. I would only say originality is lacking just because Ammy is drawn so often, but that's okay because the way that you did it was unique. =]

Maybe I'll do a print of it but first of all I have to add watermark in it or it wuill be stolen I think. hmm. Ink is hard to handle. mostly because it dries up so quikly and as you said, it can't be removed after that
