"Yes," Amaterasu began sagely, "to rid this world of darkness, we must fight."
"Then, come on Ammy," Issun says while pointing his trusty sword towards the darkness, "our next prey awaits!!"

You meet Oki when you enter the land of Kamui north of Nippon....which is an abstraction of Hokkaido as compared to Japan...He's actually the first person you meet,...and consequentially fight. He is an ally later.
