Celebrating my acquisition of Blaster. With him, I'm the proud owner of four Slizer sets, three of whom I received in mint condition.
Although I wouldn't call any of the sets outstandingly spectacular, they did move my imagination... or rather, the incomplete and contradictory story told by the disks and the box art did. I'm having flashes of an epic action-adventure tale... in the form of a gritty, '90s-styled, state-of-the-art CG animated cartoon show with over-saturated colors. That I'd like to see.

given how some of the sources clame or other wise hints that the bad guy slizers/throwbots were mutated by the meteor into the three beings in the last wave of the theme, something i though about with the artwork ither showed of only one or a hole swarm of those three, is that given the possibility that they are the four bad guys mutated by the meteor, they could possibly have later mutated again to be able to multiply themself (think like how cells multiply) thus creating the swarm of identical look alikes that is seen in some of the artwork.

Love it ^_^ I'm a huge Lego Technic Nerd, I have Every Slizer and Every Roborider in pretty great condition (not boxed though, but I'm never gonna sell them so who cares ^_^), and Almost every Bionicle model. The only ones I don't have are some of the really expensive sets like the set with the Two remote control crab things and a few ones I missed out along the way. I have every Toa/Toa-Sized Enemy (Bohrok, Baraki etc.) though ^_^

It's largely due to my parents buying me huge quantities of Lego as a kid that I have as much of them as I do x3 although I did buy a fair amount myself, I remember a lot of the time as a kid I would spend all my birthday money on Lego (mostly Bionicle) sets ^_^. (I say as a kid, I'm 17 and I spent huge amounts of money on Lego in the shop at Legoland last year x3)

I wish I was 15 when these guys were around... not with Hero Factory like I am. I only own one Slizer and that's Flare, but by god I'd love to own more. This drawing pretty much sums up how I feel Slizers should be... Gritty, badass, and full of win. I think it should have a comeback, fanmade or otherwise.

Be sure to hold onto him. He's special even in the sense that he is the biggest of the bunch, has golden pieces, can transform, etc.

A Vaterán szereztem 5000-ért, de úgy, hogy adtak még hozzá három másik, vacak kis Technic szettet is. Önmagában 2500 körül lett volna.
Továbbá van még egy Spark-om és egy Turbo-m. Electro és Flare is be vannak tervezve.
A többi meg majd csak akkor, ha megtalálom őket kielégítő állapotban.

A show, a cartoon, a comic, or even a basic story line would be awesome. There's a guy on youtube who did something like that for the roboriders and it worked. Hopefully someone in the future will make a awesome cartoon of these, since everyone underrates their awesomeness!

I believe Blaster's a bad guy. His face is composed of two former Slizers who were evil themselves (or so I heard), so it stands to reason he's not a nice guy either.
I have no idea about Millennium. He was Blaster's mortal enemy, but I don't know for sure whether he fought on the good side or was part of a third party.

Love the coloring. Perhaps the best part is that the lighting spares you the trouble of face details (Blaster's is probably the worst of them all, what with the asymmetrical, fused face pattern).
And congrats on getting more Slizers/Throwbots! They weren't as fun for me as BIONICLE was, but I still have fond memories of trying to MOC custom Throwbots using obscure color schemes. Even though I'm not planning on collecting Hero Factory sets (yet), I almost hope that the looser story is reminiscent of the fragmented story Throwbots provided, because as you noticed it certainly promoted imagination (which I could use more of these days).
Guess you still don't have enough to make any of the combo models, though. Once you do (if you plan on collecting more, that is), I'd love to see how you treat them! Not the most attractive overall, but they certainly used the Slizer parts in new and clever ways.
Also, I love how the backdrop is sort of cropped away like a comic panel, but the foreground spreads out beyond the edges. It makes the overall artwork very dynamic.

Ah, the combo models. I keep looking at their pictures and trying to figure what functions their parts might serve. The humanoid one, Robotops is tricky, since I can't tell where his face is supposed to be. Also, he has a belly-button blaster. And a... rod... sticking out from his crotch. Weird robot.
I see whoever drew those short Slizer comics also had problems deciphering the designs, which is understandable.
