The base: 1983 Toyota Celica Supra MkIIThe project : Bosozoku / Japan / Mid80's
Back in Japan this time, in the crazy world of Bosozoku. A big movement, with a lot of styles. In the 80's, it was the glory of Grachan style, inspired by the Super Silhouette Formula. In a bit different style ( hard shakotan ?) or we can simply called bosozoku, I have modified this classic Celica Supra of the early 80's.
This black beast is low and wide, with huge fenders, long bumper, some new parts, front radiator, specific aero mirrors, stanced wheels,etc.
I have voluntary realize a "smooth" coloring (with my markers), that reminds the 80's drawings style. ( Airbrush's golden age)

The drawing itself is a masterpiece, but such extreme form of bosozoku is a FAIL. Not to mention these huge 'drain pipes' - Takeyari, right? Pathetic! Fortunately, this one doesn't have that junk.

I just drawing that I like you know. In bosozoku, I like some things but not all,( like the monster exhaust, or too big widebody kit)
This car is a kind of " synthesis", I have modified this supra with huge fenders, and some other parts that I like, but not in a real bosozoku car. More shakotan style, I think.

shakotan is a trend in the large bosozoku style. ( there are also grachan style( super silhouette style), kyusha ( very light), yankee,etc..)

Yah, I know Super Silhouette cars, they're beautiful. But these bosozoku's are often a bit overdone. Look like Christmas trees.

yea I know but I don't like very much. I just prefer preserve that I like in this style. This is more Shakotan, I think, more beautiful that extreme boso with hardcore truck exhaust and other shit^^
