I do poke a lot of fun at Simba's rational rules towards ensuring his daughter doesn't get assassinated by the murderous cult living by their borders, don't I? I mean c'mon sweetheart, we're political targets, so don't be going around associating with any Outsiders. Don't go by the Outsider's home, and having someone keep an eye on you when you're on your own are all reasonable, rational things, so stop complaining.

That begin said, I've been watching Phineas and Ferb clips lately, and when I came across this one featuring Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his daughter Vanessa, I just had to make this into a comic. It does make me wonder if Simba doesn't have the wee bit of a overprotective nature due in part to him not wanting to see his daughter grow up vs mostly keeping her safe from harm's way. If you know the episode, then you'll know it has a sweet ending, though technically speaking Doofensmirtz has less of a reason to be worried for his daughter's safety then a cartoon lion with murderous death cult living nearby problems.
