Very impressive! I love how you convey the character's expressions and the atmosphere of the scene with the watercolor-esque, dreamlike mood with dark and dramatic shadings to amplify its impact while retaining the essence of the show, despite some liberties in terms of character design and realism. It's really fun to see what Rainbow Dash is going to do with the Gilda the Griffon (or as I assume she is), letting the viewers to make their own interpretation. Some of the coloring technique could have been better but so far, it still looks pretty decent. Keep up the great work!

What really caught my eye for this piece was the lighting effects you used. I really love how you used the lighting and clouds to focus-in on Rainbow, adding to the dramatic effect that goes with her dramatic stance! The darkness in the clouds toward Silver Quill also helps to show the contrast between his peaceful sleeping and Rainbow's mischief.
The piece also has a very nice balance. Silver Quill on the right corner nicely counteracts all the focus being drawn to Rainbow, and keeps the piece from feeling to heavy on the left side.
If I could offer some criticism, it would be that the perspective of this piece looks off. The placement of the characters suggests that you're using a 0-point perspective, but the clouds seem to have the a single-point perspective. It looks like you would be standing on the ground and looking up into the sky. Thank you for taking the time to give a critique so well versed.Β I'm happy that you bothered to do so and I appreciate it.Β You're right about the perspective and that it was originally my goal to do just that, to have a 0-point perspective, but I felt that RD's expression was not enough to carry the whole piece if I had done as I have planned.Β Even now I feel that her expression is a little stiff but that may have to be my technique.Β I chose to sacrifice the accuracy to push it to stylize.Β Still it's progress for me.Β Anyway thank you for reaffirming my thoughts.Β Please have a good day.
