Description Just a quick speed paint I did this morning of a German WWII Tiger Tank in the snow. I was looking at an old B&W photo of the tank but ended up doing the scene in the snow instead of the original where ever the photo was taken. I also think the tank in my illo is abandoned, I'll leave that up to the imagination.

this reminds me of one of those rough drafts, or sketches for a movie/vehical idea

What was the photo? Looks like a T-34 running gear...

I think it is nearly impossible to do a speed painting with a mouse. ..well, without massive injury to the wrist that is. I need to get a tablet some time. :shrugs:

I have seen some impressive CGs done by artists who claimed it was all a mouse but none of them had that pressure senitive look you get with a Wacom pen, that gestural fluidity. In the ned I don't see why one would want to try doing this with a mouse because I don't see how you could really, as far as speed and all. As you pointed out your wrist would explode or something. Yeah, no doubt I'd say pick a tablet up in the future if you can swing one, even an inexpensive Wacom Graphire is great. You'll love it I'm sure.

Thanks I've been meaning to try and do speed paints like this on a more regular basis. I enjoy painting period but I really dig painting stuff like this tank. Those old WWII b&w photos are often so high contrast and unclear, there's a surreal quality ot them that's great subject matter to paint so I will be doing more for sure.

Thanks for the kudos Yup, just did it this morning, about 15 to 20 minutes, didn't time myself, just did it quick. It's good to do stuff like this to keep in practice.
