Not bad for a first attempt. I have quite a lot of copper wire after having a new kitchen fitted so I plan to do more of this sort of thing.

This is amazing. Would you be able to make a woven copper bracelet like this, or can you only do ring sized copper weaves? If so, I would like to talk to you about making a couple of torc style bracelets (the open ended sort) how much it would cost, how long it would take, etc. I live in New Zealand, so it would be international shipping.

Sorry to have taken so long to reply but I have been thinking about your question. I am sorry but I have not got any wire suitable for your project to hand & I am a bit busy at the moment to take on any commissions.

I used a wire weaving tutorial from YouTube [link] to make the band. I didn't use the kit they sell I made do with my own vice etc. The ring is shaped on a steel ring mandrel using a polyester mallet & the join at the back is soldered with copper solder from [link]

Very nice and I covet it but my skin chemistry is such that if I wore it it would dissolve into a green stain on my finger within minutes

Sorry for having taken so long to get back to you but I have been trying to source copper solder because, in testing, the copper plating proved insufficient. I am waiting for copper solder to come to the UK from China (the only place I could find it in stock). I have, however, produced sufficient woven wire to fulfil orders as soon as it arrives if you would like one. Ring weave is available in a finer 5 mm (which I could make in women's sizes too) or a very chunky 6 mm. The rings are £15 each + £3 postage and packaging world wide or £7 recorded delivery.
