It's a very good shot, and I guess you'll agree here that the backgrounds gives a lot more weight to the picture!
I like this kind of couple shots. Though they're always too obviously fake. It really looks like a fashion shoot.
She's gorgeous, he's beautiful, they make up a nice pair, and I like her expression although I'm not really sure what to read in it.
The contrast in what they're wearing is a bit troubling, though.

I think you got most of the messages in the photo, and yes working on location is almost always better but not always what I get to do.
Their expressions and where they are looking was intentional as well as the dichotomy of their outfits, it is jarring to see lingerie in a club/bar atmosphere.
