Here's yet another D&D Character request drawing. The guy's character (as it was explained to me) was a Tiefling with some Elven ancestry as well. After I finished sketching it out I looked at it and thought, "hmm...he kinda looks like a character you'd see in Warcraft".Related content

Hnngh. Seeing this just makes me wish Wizards of the Coast would publish the Fey'ri (basically the Elf version of the Tiefling) as a playable race!

I like this, I'm thinking of making a Tiefling Warlock with an Elven/Eladrin lineage too! I'd say this looks too much as an elf and not enough as a Tiefling (Demon-ish)... I definitely didn't see anything resembling to World of Warcraft when I saw this, I'm sorry if you see Warcraft art as "diminuitive" art... I like Warcraft very much!

An eladrin and a tiefling mix along with elf would definitely be unusual. Trying to think of how it could be done... I guess you could do it by adding both tiefling and elven racial traits to the character, and then add on a half-celestial template on top of that for the eladrin heritage. Would be really hard to come up with a good background story for that kind of character I'd think.

I do like the look of this elven tiefling, but really like the fey'ri a lot, have you ever checked them out, they are a whole race of elven tieflings, and look really cool I think.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the warcraft art style. I just mentioned that I looked at the art after finishing it and thought it was a bit "warcraft-ish" by accident. Yeah, he doesn't look like how tieflings are portrayed these days in D&D art. But, remember, I drew this back in 2003 off a text description in the forgotten realms book. There wasn't a whole lot of Tiefling art back then. This is just what I sort of thought it might look like.
Its interesting to see how "off" I am compared to how they're drawn in the lastest 4th edition book.
