Sophitia, the piece in your influence map which suppose to be Takuji Kawano's art, is actually not his work, it's different illustrator work, Soul team hired him to do Soul Calibur 4's illustrations art.. just for your information

I know Takuji Kawano is behind SC2, 3 and 4 and Tekken 3 and 4. and he is also and the designer of the 2d animation scene in Kill Bill vol.1!
I was talking about the illustrations art wich was done for the SC4 which included Sophitia's illustration in your poster is not Takuji san art. (you can see his characters sketchs in SC art book)
if you go and check out the game credits (in the gallery mode) you will find that the lead character illustratotion is Takuji Kawano and the character illustrator is: "Satoko Makayama".
unlike in SC2 and 3 you will find the only illustartor of the game is Takuji by himself and that explains to me at least why SC4 illustration art is different than 2 and 3.

Theres not enough info on Nakayama to really know what she did for the characters, but my guess from studing Kawano's style over the years is that she was more of an assistant to him on the characters. Even tho Kawano has been improving with each SC, some areas of the characters (not all of them) are painted a lil differently on SC4, so Im assuming thats her. Otherwise the characters are his, just with her helping him out here and there on some of them probably to meet deadlines easier. You can see she clearly helped out with Taki, Talim, Xianghua, ect (shes not as good as Kawano tho), but Sophitia above is definitely one of his own - youll notice their style differences mostly in their ability to paint faces.

I agree, it seems either Makayama worked under his supervision or she helped him on each illustrator somehow!. if you check out SC4 artbook you will find out there is a rough sketch for each final illustration done by Takuji! looks like he's done rough ideas and then she did the final peace!
some works looks really different and some looks more like Takuji's one but not %100.. [link]
this one is definitely his art.
anyway your inflounce page looks close to main if I would have one, keep it up!

Wow, over-serious much? Guess you should get busy telling the thousands of others who did this Influence Map Meme that they need to take it down as well. Cause dA clearly didn't notice what was going on there...

Except, how is it stealing when these images are found via google, the artists are clearly named/titled, and no one is taking credit. How is this anything but free exposure for each and every "influence" somebody lists.
What's the meaning of the word influence without CLEARLY giving credit to the entitled "influencer"? There's absolutely NO difference between posting pictures in a frame and labeling them "my heroes of art" or posting a journal with "i recommend these guys" or taking a picture of a wall inside your room and posting it to dA with "my art wall" or making a meme called "influence map." The whole point you seem to miss is the part whereby everyone is sharing with one another the reasons they do art, the people who help them to keep going. Do try to see the bigger picture going on here...because if I were in someone's influence map...man, I'd be flipping out. I'd be ecstatic.
And isn't that what we all hope for with art? To influence and inspire others? To be in someone's influence map?

I don't disagree with the influence map's message. Not at all. I'd also be flipping out like ninja if I knew I'd influence someone. Yes, the titles are given, with the artist's name etc. however that still does not excuse the fact that you need written permission, not an e-mail, stating that you/whom it may concern, has permission to host their art on another site.
Did you read the policy? If you haven't the link can be found at the bottom of your inbox page right at the bottom next to terms of service. You see, I'm not here to pick on artists. That's not my job. That's what trolls were invented for. In a sense I'm actually- hm... I suppose protect is too strong of a word to use in this case, but in a way that's kind of what I'm doing.
It's highly embarrassing when someone gets their deviation removed due to a report. Trust me. The feeling is not awesome. It also isn't cool when said artist is in danger of getting slapped with a lawsuit due to infringement.
If I were to do this map, I would draw in my influences. I wouldn't rip pictures off Google. dA has no problem with tracing, so long as proper credit is given, but if you're just going to slap down a modified picture of, say Jim Lee's drawing of Superman, you're in danger of getting more then your wrist slapped. Does, that make it clearer?

So I must know, in these influence maps, do you use the actual pics from the artist or do you simply do your own rendition of it? For instance, one of my influences is Spiderman. Do I use an original pic of Spidey or do I draw my own?

Well its always working in response to us (our vibration/energy) 100% of the time. The work is for us to become more deliberate about our thoughts and what we give our attention to, because that decides our vibration - therefore, it decides everything that is attracted into our lives.
When you fully understand that you are responsible for everything in your life (the good and the bad), and that you've had control all along, then being more deliberate about your thoughts becomes much easier. There's an entire art to this. Its simple, but it changes everything.
I use my thoughts for everything now - great money, great health, happiness, relationships, and just general success in life even in the small things.
Change your vibration, change your world. Abraham has given me the greatest understanding of this and its changed everything for me.

Glad to know it works. i just don't get what im doing wrong. I guess its hard to keep positive thoughts when the world is in such a bad shape.

WarrenLouw In reply to akaoj [2010-09-13 15:35:21 +0000 UTC]
Well what generally is a problem for most is that they focus mostly on "what is" (which only creates more of it), focus on the lack of it (holds it from manifesting), worries about "how" it will come (potentially creates doubt, which stops it), worries about "when" (frustration will obstruct it) and just any negative emotion at all - which is simply a response to the way your choosing to think about something.
The things you want will only manifest if you can find a way to feel good without the manifestation of it, then only will it come. If you can get yourself into a better feeling place on a more regular basis without it having to depend on any manifestation, your world will reflect that well being back to you and it will manifest.
Well the "bad" shape of the world is not something that you need to let affect you at all. Also, any "bad" experiences you go through are there to help you understand more of what you do want, to help you understand more of who you are and build you to become a more evolved individual. If it wasnt for all my "terrible" relationships, "bad" personal experiences, I wouldnt be where I am today in this much better place. It all helped me to understand what would be better and therefore I attracted it my way. You will eventually reach a point where you honor the "bad" times, because you understand how valuable they can be for your expansion. You also never need to let other peoples realities be your reality, no matter what evidence or statistics there are. You create your own world.
The best place I would recommend you to be though is in a place where you can just feel good. doesnt matter what about. just get yourself there more often and make that a priority and youll see how things dramatically change.

very sound advice there. Thank you guru Warren. Worries, What is, how, and when, are usually things i think about anyway. I don't know how to not think about it. Its like saying don't think of a black cat. it just naturally crops up.
