Description I renderd this Titanic model in 3DS max as a part of the project of creating 3d animation of Titanic sinking, but it was to "heavy" for my computer so just this screenshot to remind me to finish project when enough resources bee available.

Coments would be nice

Amazing.

Makes me want to model the Titanic but it won't come out that well, especially on 3DS Max. Kind of forgot how to use. Maybe better luck on Maya since I know it better.

WaskoGM In reply to bonjourmonami [2012-12-26 21:30:53 +0000 UTC]

All over the web... free stuff.
There is a great collection of quality blueprints on [link]
You only have to register and it's free. Also, i think that i read that J Cameron contributed lot of Titanic references that can be founded there.

RMSGigantic [2011-01-13 02:54:14 +0000 UTC]

I'd say the lights here are rather bright. Every light on the ship ranged from 16 to 100 candlepower in brightness. I think I saw a map of sorts of how bright each deck light was on the boat deck; if you're interested, I can try to go back and fish it out.

Affet-kak [2009-12-24 18:44:17 +0000 UTC]

umm did you use paint to create the smoke??
lol
looks good in the small pic though
theres a small scribble above the front mast thing
you need fumefx or afterburn!

looks good though
what are the lights, are they a selfilluminated material or lights inside the structure?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WaskoGM In reply to Affet-kak [2009-12-24 20:10:41 +0000 UTC]

No i didn't use paint, but thanks for coment, lights are selfilluminated material, i am not shore what is scribble you are talking about. I made this render 3 years ago, so it is not perfect.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Affet-kak In reply to WaskoGM [2009-12-24 22:07:19 +0000 UTC]

ah ok
the smoke looked a bit like the program paint

ATITANIC1992 [2009-12-21 11:13:12 +0000 UTC]

Also the illumination on the funnels is terrible, sorry but my comments are very critic, i am not just like the mainstream that says. "nice, great, love it etc"

but my critic is not destructive but constructive i hope you can use it to you further projects

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WaskoGM In reply to ATITANIC1992 [2009-12-21 11:48:13 +0000 UTC]

I like your critics, they are all fair. Thank you for that
But let me defend myself and take a look at my newer renders in my gallery and tell me what you think about them.

ATITANIC1992 [2009-12-21 11:09:58 +0000 UTC]

Very nice Titanic ship! love your work.

But i dont like the portholes, they are too dominating and the G-deck portholes are missing!
The portholes are also to randomly placed but i know it is a difficult part of the creation of the ship.

Also lifeboats would have been good.

WaskoGM In reply to ATITANIC1992 [2009-12-21 11:44:28 +0000 UTC]

I rendered this few years ago, you are right for many things, in that time i didn't had enough skills in 3d program to make it right, if you look carefully you'll see that life boats are missing too

Titanicy [2009-11-13 17:16:17 +0000 UTC]

Very nice =3 I cannot render at all - I never tried XD Think this is pretty complicated to do, isnt it? oo

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WaskoGM In reply to Titanicy [2009-11-13 17:20:58 +0000 UTC]

It is complicated when you face a project like this for the first time, but it is quite interesting when you work hard and you see a great results of hard work You can try, there is lot to learn but it is interesting if you are into it...

Yes it is. I have tried to recreate how it looked at dark night, like the one she sinked...
