Description
The pony and rider team that was Enigma and Mollie stood in the collecting ring area, radiating a sense of confidence and calm. The situation inside their heads however, was much different. Luckily, Enigma had been to a few relatively large shows previously, and was quite used to the crowds. Though she was standing very still, she was alert and listening, and had a slight tremble in her shoulder muscle, though this showed excitement and anticipation, and also came due to her antics in the warmup, and was not due to something more sinister. Her eyes were bright and they scanned the arena they could see ahead. Even though her stature was small, at the height she held her head she could just about see into the ring at the pair that were currently jumping. Watching as the pair cleared each jump, her head bobbed up and down slightly every time as she followed them. Mollie had a small giggle at this, as she noticed as she was also watching the pair ahead of them. Her calm exterior was also a front. Inside her head was going crazy, she was full of doubt- Would she remember the course? Would she remember how to ride?? Knowing that Enigma felt confident and was on top form in the warm up helped a lot, and she didn't doubt the plucky little pony one bit. The feeling was somewhat confusing to her because she couldn't recall ever having this feeling when she was sat on her favourite tobiano stallion, Boogieman. It was probably the sense of him knowing exactly what he was doing and having more experience than her and completely knowing his job. Knowing every way out and his confidence coming from the fact he's done this so many times before, and done it well. Though Enigma was confident, she certainly lacked the experience that Boogiman had. Whilst thinking about all of this, Mollie remembered that she had at least the one advantage- she had been with Enigma from the beginning. Okay, so she wasn't there for her birth... But training wise, it was all down to Mollie- when Enigma arrived from being imported, she immediately was assigned to ride her once she had been broken in and ridden away. After spending some time with the pony on her first day and helping her settle in, she found herself to have already fallen in love with the sassy, but loving young pony. Later that night she had gently and carefully asked the question to her parents... A second lease pony? Much to her relief (And admittedly to her surprise!) they agreed and the next day it was formally done. After that, Mollie spent her spare time with Enigma (When she was not with Boogieman, of course!) slowly breaking her in. She had help in the form of DAS' only rider with previous sidesaddle experience for the first side saddle rides, for safety reasons, but after that both pony and rider learned together. Mollie spent countless hours over the past year and a half, producing Enigma to be the pony she sat on today, here at one of the biggest pony shows in the world, if not THE biggest. It was at this point a true sense of calm washed over her. She knew this pony, and trusted her. And the same trust and connection came from Enigma.

They were ready.

Okay so I know the story is really quite short, but I put quite a bit of effort into it and though I could have carried on, I really liked it as it is- so quality(Which could be questionable, but I tried!!) over quantity- yes???
Also decided to add a bit more back story to Mollie and Enigma
