Description
The Mauler is one of the largest combat frame in use. it is as heavy as most main battle tanks and has armor to match. It is armed with starship grade Plasma cannons, 40mm gauss guns, and rapid fire plasma guns, as well as a battery of anti vehicle/antiaircraft missiles in pods high angle pods.

The driver, Gunner, and Commander sit in the upper torso in a cramped cockpit between the vehicles shoulders. Protected by the equivalent of 1000mm of lamellar composite armor. the cockpit is equipped with advanced optics, thermal imagers, High resolution Synthetic-aperture radar, phased array air search early warning radar, passive and active Electronic warfare systems and communications hardware on par with most fighters.

It is powered by a compact fusion reactor, isotope decay auxiliary power units, and banks of superconducting capacitor banks to store massive reserves of power required by the vehicles weapons during sustained fire.

at a full "run" the Mauler can move at 30Kph across favorable terrain, which is usually solid dry grasslands, hard packs soil or urban pavement. in boggy terrain, or heavy forests the mauler can become mired or tangled in fallen trees limiting its effectiveness.

The Mauler is still considered to be inferior to advanced armored vehicles, or gravitic vehicles, but its psychological effect on enemy forces, and utility in built up areas have ed to numerous of the massive combat machines being put into service.
