Ho osservato un nido di uccelli.
Ho osservato un volo di gabbiani.
Ho osservato la rugiada sui fiori.
Ho visto paesi tra verdi colline.
Ho visto antichi borghi tra catene montuose.
Ho visto alberi specchiarsi nei fiumi.
Ho incontrato persone semplici ed
ascoltato i loro ricordi di nefaste guerre.
Ho visto alberi ricolmi di frutti.
Ho visto piazze ornate di fiori.
Ho visto fronde ondeggiare al soffice
abbraccio del vento.
Ho visto un lupo solitario, con il suo viso
selvaggio e la sua andatura solenne,
scendere su una strada di montagna.
Ho visto un lago stupendo baciato
dai raggi del sole.
Ho visto un rudere antico ergersi solingo
e maestoso in un panorama desolato ma
imponente.
Ho visto un’antica fortezza ed un monastero,
compagni nel passato e nel presente.
Ho guardato nel mio cuore e
vi ho scorto tanta serenità.

I observed a flight of gulls.
I looked at the dew on the flowers.
I saw green hills between countries.
I saw ancient villages between mountain ranges.
I saw trees mirrored in rivers.
I met people simple and
Listened to their memories of disastrous wars.
I saw trees full of fruit.
I saw squares decorated with flowers.
I saw fronds ondeggiare to soft
Embrace the wind.
I saw a lone wolf, with his face
Savage and his solemn pace,
Go on a mountain road.
I saw a beautiful lake kissed
The rays of the sun.
I saw an old ruins stand solingo
And in a majestic panorama sorry but
Impressive.
I saw an ancient fortress and a monastery,
Comrades in the past and present.
I looked into my heart and
I watched so much serenity.

vi chiederete cosa ha a che fare il titolo del disegno con la poesia citata, in effetti sono un po' in contrasto. Non so', mi ispiravano entrambi.
