In 2014, my best friend, my dad, and I decided to plan and take a trip down the California coast on Highway 1 to see the sights on a mini-road trip. We started our trip in Monterey and our first stop was the 17-Mile Drive where among the beautiful coast scenery were a variety of native animals including: the seagull. While birds are some of the most common animals we tend to see, they always end up being my go-to subjects to photograph. This gull in particular allowed me to get up close and photograph the details of his face like I never have done with a bird before.
