Gordon:   "Tender Engines! DON'T!! SHUNT!!!"

The Fat Controller/Sir Topham Hatt:   "Oh hoho... we'll see about THAT! No engine on MY railway is too important for small jobs."

Henry:  "What Gordon and James meant to say, sir, is... uh...   things just haven't been the same since Thomas left. We don't mind hard work, but as of late, the pileup and our embarrassments have led to us being on practically our last wheels (at our wits' end). If only there were more engines to help out with the extra work, preferably tank engines for shunting duties. But we'll take any help we can get for the time being."

The Fat Controller/Sir Topham Hatt:   "Indeed it does look to be the case. You're absolutely right about some things, Henry. Hopefully Edward helping out with you can tide you over for a while."

"Oh, indeed?" said The Fat Controller. "We'll see about that. Engines on my railway do as they are told!"
