These little dudes remind me of Pikmin.
A game like that would be awesome, where you were just a little seed guy trying to explore and see as much as you possibly could before you grew up (into a tree).

In Pikmin you controlled an army of plant-creatures that were vaguely like the Wandernut (but less awesome), killing random giant insects and collecting cans. In "Wandernut: the Game" (I'm going all theoretical here, stay out of my way), you would explore a huge sandbox world looking at strange new crap before you metamorphosed into a tree.

actually, i REALLY like that concept ... based on experiences you have as the nut, you could be reincarnated as a new nut with new attributes or abilities, features, etc, that allow you to explore other areas? would that ruin it?

That would be great. You would have a limited time to explore the world until you grew up into a tree, which would spawn a new nut with different abilities... we should make up a concept for a Wii game.
