Something for my portfolio, I wanted to do something that had shades of a LSD trip with a character of mine. I like how this turned out. I really didn't wanna be lazy with the background, but I kind of did.Regardless, it was fun. the beheaded dude in the middle is my character dude, but a loose interpretation of them~

Oddly even with the normally unbalanced idea of LSD, it is very flowing for the eye. While the center focus should be the wild mess around, the blank spot that all the wonderfully nightmarish things are staring at causes the eye to pivot around like a merry-go-round. This forced inspection, plus the very content expression of the beheaded man makes for a lucid and content feeling throughout the piece, despite the gore. This makes for a riveting visual journey, and while the separate pieces may have a more profound meaning, all together they create a colorful bath to soak in for awhile.

This is really beautiful and while I do get queasy at the sight of gore, this has more of a surreal look that makes me stare in awe rather than disgust.
