Fan art from Kekkaishi. I know, my sisters hate what they've seen of the series and think it's stupid, but I think it's pretty cool and the plot has been getting really good. Anyway, I used a picture of him I found in photobucket as reference and then made up my own background and added Karasumori's flowy power etc etc. So yes, more practice for me in combining different styles of drawing with my own for fun.

Was it a good idea to add the black background outside the circle? I first thought it would look better with a border like that but now I'm not sure if it just makes everything I did in color pencil look too faded and light, especially the parts that were supposed to look dark. ????
