i think, if i can devote the time it might be a good idea for me to do some studies, than one more finished piece.i got to try out my green and pink leads with this one (the grass)
also, this is a full page size, while the other downward angle studies are about 4 inches tall a piece.

It is so different from your usual post that at first i was taken aback. After looking at it and taking it all in very slowly, I think I am in love with it. The lack of color feels right with the background effects and creates a very pleasurable and soothing view. I have never enjoyed staring at a computer screen for an image this much. Thank you for a good start to my day.

most of your color work is amazing, and is in a rather realistic comic style. Many of your drawings, fantasy and otherwise fall into that category (which exists only in the filing system in my mind) as well. The style of this work, while very much your own with many of your trademark characteristics, has a much softer feel to it due to the composition of the background and foreground and the simplicity of the image itself. It honestly feels like a completed work without doing anything more to it. (Some additional color could make it better but too much in this case could ruin the appeal it has for me.)I guess that is the main difference, that the color usage was so minimal, but it already seemed like a final product.

Now THIS is insanely spiff. Sure it's not like colored like all the stuff you usually do, but that's not even needed. The background color you chose and texture suits just fine. Not gunna lie. If this was a print... I'd totally opt to snag for one. The pose, and everything pulls you in. The hatch shading is nice too. Very gorgeous.
