this is the first picture of Numair's new design... lol sort of
I don't know, he just kindof came out while I was doodling in OC...
I was re-reading the Immortals Quartet and thought that I hadn't drawn anything yet from Daine's story, so out came Numair!
(Why not Daine?...
Because I like to make my life hard by picking a character I had no personal image for and spending hours upon hours changing that fact!)
So this is also a trial run for his design..

Daine's series is rather hard to find.
I've read almost all of Tamora Peirce's books except for The Circle opens, i think... it's hard to remember...

when i first found her books i was sooo jealous of my friend, kathy, she had a part in the book on tape for Wolfspeaker and i'm pretty sure she met T. Peirce. So Incredibly jealous...

well, that's a long list, but right now i'm loving Libba Bray(gemma doyle trilogy), Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allan Poe, M.T. Anderson (octavian nothing, traitor to the nation), Neal Gaiman (coraline and good omens) and D.J. Mchale (pendragon series)

i dont know the purpose of the red shading but it makes for a really awesome effect.

Um, well, we'll ignore the response that I would make saying that the reason that the lines are red is because I was too lazy to make them black and focus more on the whole "mood" of the piece was anger and the red outline, I hoped, would emphasized this.
Also, at first, I wanted to go for a stylized look, such which is found in my scraps, but ended up having too much fun with actually coloring him.
