Gosh, I really managed to do still another work after the Kiriban pic, before I leave for our little trip... And here's Gord'n, one of my oldest characters, which sounds pretty silly because I haven't uploaded any pics of him before. But believe me, those pics have been horrible. But now we have a pic of him here, and I wonder if I dared to say that this char is even more dear for me than Arcaillax... ^^'

Gord'n is a dragon of a breed called 'Dwarf Blue Flames' or 'Lesser Blue Flames', which have been created by me, btw (but if someone knows that someone else has already Blue Flame Dragons, please note me...). He's been raised by humans so he doesn't try to eat everyone unless he has a reason for that, but he can be a bit stubborn and he doesn't know how to speak human, so someones may be a bit aware of him.

And I know Gord'n's legs look a bit (or more) deformed, but other wise I think the anatomy looks pretty good if concidering that I didn't have anykind of ref for this And the background is once again quite space-related. There's even those cloud-like things I ended up calling as 'intergalactic porridge goo'. Finnish word 'intergalaktinen puuromössö' just sounds funnier

Apuva... Rakkaampi kun Arcy? o_o No siinä on sit jo aika paljo tunnearvoo hahmolla.

Mutta mitäs siitä sanoisi. Hienosti oot saanu valkosen näyttään varjojenkin kans valkoselta, koska itellä on sen kanssa usein ongelmia. x3 Asento on kans kiva ja siivet näyttää todellakin siltä, että ne on pullistunu ilmasta. Tähän väliin on pakko sanoa jotain noista raajoista, koska.. no kato nyt niitä. Sen oikee jalka näyttää, niin kuin se olisi vaan nahan varassa kiinni ruumiissa ja joko sen jalan, tai sitten tän toisen jalan varpaissa on jotain pahasti vialla, koska ne on ihan erinäköiset. Olkapäitä raukalla ei oo olllenkaan ja itkettävän pienet raajat. (korjaa jos se on tarkotus) Oikeen siiven "kyynärpää" on, no... epämuodostunut. X_X Kamalaa kirjottaa tällasta... Muttamutta, vatsasuomut on nätin tasasissa riveissä ja varjostettu ajan kanssa. Ja kyllä, näen taas ne haaleet valokohdat joka suomussa. ^^ Kovin jykevä keskiruumis... *köh* Siivissä väri vaihtuu ihanan pehmeesti ja valot ja varjot menee kivasti. Päästä piti sanoa se, että mikä-toi-nyt-onkaan-kulmakarva on kivan omalaatuinen.

Yleisesti: Anatomiaan voisit kiinnittää enemmän huomiota, mutta yksityiskohdat on tyylikkäitä. Avaruusmössötaustat sulta luonnistuu. Ja värimaailmasta sen verran, että taitaa ihan luonnostaan tulla sulla noi yhteensopivat värit. (itellä aina tappelee keskenään noi sävyt)

Noh, se on lähinnä sen takia, että Arc on vuodelta -06 tai -07, ja Gord'n on riekkunut paperin reunassa ekaa kertaa joskus vuonna -02...

Ja heti ekaksi, katsoppas sitä uudelleen, minkä värinen mr. Gord'n on Ei sen valkonen pitäis olla. Ei ainakaan mun koneen näytöllä xD
Juu, taisinkin kuvan kommenttiin itse kirjoitella että ne koivet ON epämuodostuneet Ja raajojen ei pitäisi olla noin pienet... mutta niistä tuli noin pienet ihan vaan oman tyhmyyteni/laiskuuteni takia (menin inkkailemaan osaa ääriviivoista ennen kuin olin saanut jalat kunnolla tehtyä... Tai siis, tämä koskee noita eturäylöitä >.>' ) Ja se kyynärpää muuten näyttää siltä että se on mennyt sijoiltaan... O_o' Gor-parka...
Noh, hyvä että siitä löytyi sentään jotain positiivistakin sanottavaa xD Ja anatomioihin yritän kiinnittää huomiota, mutkun en saa niitä koskaan kohdilleen ja menetän hermoni siinä välissä, joten... harjoitusta lisää, luulisin. Ja kiva jos tyksit aina noista värimaailmoistakin ^^ Niiden kanssa mun ei todellakaan tarvitse usein tapella... Paitsi sillon kun yrittää Photarilla löytää sen oikean värin jota haluaa käyttää xD

Jaa ei muka oo valkonen tuo, mitä?! Ihan varmasti on! *nyrpistää kulmakarvojaan ja siristää kuvaa naama ruudussa* Tai happaman maidon värinen... Kerman... Lievästi kellertävä... Mut mun silmääni se menee valkosesta. Meinaan kun katsoo sitä ihan suoraan, se on valkonen, mutta jos kattoo alaviistosta, sitä keltasta tulee näkyviin. Äläkä nyt sano ettei se oo keltanenkaan. xD

Kerman valkoinen... Ei ihan valkonen eikä keltanen Niinkuin jo mesessä mainitsin Ja läpäreiden näytöstä tai muusta lituskanäytöstä jos on kyse niin sen oikean värin näkeminen voi olla hakusessa xD

Beautiful, all of it. I think my favorite part is the blending of red and blue on the underside of his wings.

Yeah, blending can be tricky to do. I'm not very good at it, so I tend to take shortcuts (which make it look even worse >_>.

Well, I don't do gradient shadings at all anymore ^^' Or sometimes I may use gradients, but mostly I just do cel-shadings on a multiplied layer with Photoshop...

Ah, okay. Yeah, I've looked at doing cell shading, but I've always kind of favored the more gradient kind. Even though it's so much more difficult to do. XD

Yeah, the gradient kind looks sometimes a bit better than cell shading, so I'm taking the easy way and do cell shadings xD Besides, I still like the way cell shadings look and they're nice to do ^.^
But good luck for you to figuring out how to do those gradient shadings!

Cell shading definitely looks good when done right, but I've always wanted to aim more at a realistic look than an anime one. XD

Though that's basically how I do my gradient shading right now... I apply multiple layers of dodge or burn in a cell-shading-like fashion, and then blur that area so it looks smooth.

I don' think cell shading is more lazy by definition. It sure is easier to be lazy with it, though. But some people have found some really lazy, non-cell ways to shade that still look very natural.

Not very good at German anymore since the 8th grade, but... Mein Gott! He's such a gorgeous beasty! He looks so cool and sleek, and those wings really draw me in. I'm horrible at wing angles, but you pulled it off with no problem! The background doesn't look very spacey to me, just a foggy/cloudy night. I agree with you on the legs, but everything else looks great. Can't wait to see more of him.

Oh, I'm really glad if this work is worth of one Mein Gott (yes, I had to check from a dictionary what that means xD )
Usually I have lots of problems with wings also, but this time it was somehow easier O_o And yeah, maybe that's just a cloudy night... But at least there's lots of stars!

I know what you mean. Some angles can be so hard, yet others so easy. O_o I actually had an easier time drawing the wings on my "Jokers Wild" than most other dragon pics. Go figure. And you're welcome
