inspired by a recent exchange of niceties i had with a friend...it's interesting how i can find beauty in just about anything and least in myself. in the same way i wish to put everyone in front of my camera but have trouble facing the lense. the oddest thing about this paradox is it seems to be changing as i age (didn' t mean this to be a journal but it has become that). help me out here, Salma....."People often say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves."

it's weird, because i feel kinda the same. i don't like to be photographed, so in a way i'm hiding in the back of my camera and i really enjoy taking pictures.
