Description
This is a New Guinea crocodile. Found in the wetlands of Papua New Guinea. The New Guinea crocodile was once over-hunted for its scaly skin in the mid 20th century, but conservation measures have since been put in place. A female New Guinea crocodile can produce a repeated throaty "roar" when approached by another croc.
