Why is there Pokemon here?

Because I like Pokemon :d Bet you guys didn't know that. I've been doing some serious cleaning around the house and found a lot of my old anime art from middle school and high school in storage. This made me think, "hey, drawing Pokemon was FUN." So I did a search and found ~ChibiSilverWings 's awesome Pokemon meme.

I was also inspired by Ken Sugimori's original Pokemon ink and watercolor art (that can be seen in the manual for Pokemon Red/Blue and Yellow. The Zubat turned out especially 'official' looking. It's a bit odd.

Also I think I look pretty awesome as a Pokemon trainer.

Aw, I still have mine somewhere! Though I think I actually acquired it after the pocket...
It's sort of crazy to think how far games and systems have been developed in just the past decade or so since pokemon came out. Comparing the old games to the new, they look like completely different eras.

YAY FLYING TYPES they're my fave too. I never used them much until now only cause others were better (like Alakazam). If you ever think about playing 5th Gen, I think you'd be satisfied that the Birds have been treated wayyy better with awesome movesets and improved stats. :3

I've seen some of the later birds (like Staraptor and Wargle) and they look pretty awesome. I promised a friend I would get a DS and start playing the later games.

Who knows! My cousins sold all their card at a yard sale for like ten bucks and just this year they would have been over 200 together. But they had a whole lot and all of the first edition or something like that.

I forgot how tough it was to defeat Brock with Charmander, since at that point you only have bug (weak against rock) and Pikachu (also weak against rock), as well as Pidgey and Ratatta. So really your only hope is to level up your Pokemon as high as you can and hope Onix uses defensive attacks D:

Yeah. I remember my first time. I went into that gym.. and got my butt kicked. And after a week of training, I came back with my whole team at lv 30, and wiped the floor clean.

Spearow's pretty cool, though it's more hawk-like than sparrow-like. Pidgey also becomes more raptor like as it evolves.
