I never really thought about it before, but isn't it kind of weird how in Pokemon, you can send the Pokemon you're surfing on into battle?
How does that even work? Kinda like this I'd imagine.
EDIT: Ok so this is a huge coincidence! I'd seen Katie Tiedrich's comic about sending Graveler out to fight in a water battle, but I'd never seen the comic she made directly before that one, which is exactly this situation.

I'd love to see someone with a comic of giving leftovers or a berry from the bin to your pokemon xD (Here Charmander, have this lovely thrown out piece of garbage to eat...)

It does happen when fen geek out over similar situations in in fandom. It has gotten really interesting, a couple of times, when a couple of newspaper comic artists were apparently having an "anything you can draw, I can draw better" thing going on in their respective strips.
