Description I was walkin along the Bridge when i saw this...i had to write something to describe it becos at that moment it made my black lil heart go *dub*...

"Be the Pillar of Strength I hold on to,
The one that holds me down till years to come..."

"The pillars that hold the Bridge together that connects people...
And the pillar that the lil boy finds in his Father to hold on to for years to come..."

Nice tones and contrasts of light, I like the softness, the haziness, nice lines and movement, good depth, too. Very expressive and well done.

The symmetry of all the metal is wonderful, gives things a regimented, mass-produced feel; B&W really lends itself to enhancing that effect and (for me) emphasizing the metal. I agree with the above comment that there's something up top that might look better cropped.

The boy and the man are just far enough away that I can identify with them, yet they're still more abstract than human. Great combination of architecture and expressive.

same location as the one more recently posted, but a different balance, interesting how moving a couple feet over changes the feel..BW does something for that too.

It has a great 50's to 60's feeling. I love the solitude of the "farther" and son on the bridge.. Perfect for B&W...

Wow. I really like this. The black and white is really effective, as are the lines that really draw your attention to the man and boy. I love how they're holding hands as well. So endearing.

If it was me, I might try cropping the photo just a tad on the top.. something seems out of place up there - that little piece that sort of juts out from nowhere -- I think it's a street lamp? Anyhow, that's my only suggestion.

I'm not hugely fond of the small size either.. but ah well.

Nice idea.

I think the tones here are better than the earlier piece I viewed but I still prefer the other composition of the bridge.

A very good shot, the lines on the bridge going off into infinity really make it work for me. The way that the adult and child are absolutely dwarfed by the structure on the right is incredible. Something human in the midst of all that metal.
