Personality: A taciturn man that rarely shows much expression on his face. He tends to take things literally, and is poor at reading social cues. This is balanced by his capability in building things, craftsmanship, and fighting ability, honed by him considering his personal worth to be only equivalent to his value to society and others. When this worth, or those he cares about are questioned, his temper can flare and he can react violently or irrationally.

History:

Vale was sent as a guard to Raehn, and though he was not the worst of the guards, he had a great loyalty to their purpose and reacted badly to those that questioned his power.

He's lost much of that now that the guards have been overthrown, and has spent much time imprisoned in the cathedral. For many reasons he feels he can't return as a failure in Andaras, and the trek out of Raehn in dangerous. He seems to have a connection to the Holy Exalt of Andaras however, as well as a deep interest of the mysterious murder of Elizabht.

Is a talented swordsmith, and has a love for swords and their craftsmanship
Occasionally uses magic to express emotion rather than his face.
